Designer Michael Kors will be receive the Hall of Fame Award at the 2010 FiFis—to be held June 10 at The Downtown Armory. “His successful wardrobe of fragrances complements the sleek, polished, glamorous looks he so effortlessly creates season after season,” said Rochelle Bloom, president of The Fragrance Foundation.
Last year, the honor was presented to Marc Jacobs.
Kors said he was honored by the Foundation’s recognition and added that he perceives his three fragrance franchises as akin to a wardrobe. “My signature Michael Kors fragrance is the little black dress, chic and timeless. The Island scents are your crisp white shirts, the feeling of relaxed luxury. Very Hollywood Michael Kors”—which debuted recently to wide acclaim—“is the gold dress.”
