~Sephora introduces 4th sun care safety kit


Sephora 1bFor the fourth time, beauty retail mecca Sephora and The Skin Cancer Foundation will introduce their partnered Sun Safety Kit this May.

The kit contains 11 of Sephora’s favorite sun protection products—all of which boast SPF 15 or higher—housed in a hot pink clutch bag. Valued at $85.00, the kit will sell for $25.00, with 100% of net profits benefiting The Skin Cancer Foundation. Sephora will produce 30,000 kits.

In addition to a bracelet that senses UVA/UVB rays, brands featured within the limited edition set include:  ClarinsDDF,Jack Black, Peter Thomas Roth, ShiseidoSmashboxand more, ranging in size from 0.02 oz. to 0.34 oz.

“This program has become a core fundraising initiative for the foundation and is a great way to educate consumers about the importance of making sun protection part of a healthy lifestyle,” said Dr. Perry Robins, president, The Skin Cancer Foundation.

Sephora 2Through the kit’s three previous iterations, Sephora was able to make an unprecedented $1 million donation to The Skin Cancer Foundation—one of the largest donations in the history of the company. The first-ever Sephora Sun Safety Kit contained seven products, and the 10,000 kits sold out almost immediately.
